Jo Ann Antinone is the Director of the Choral Department at LD Bell High School in Bedford, Texas. With a passion for music education that spans over two decades, Mrs. Antinone is now in her 28th year of teaching. She was raised in Bryan, TX, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, followed by a Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.
Before joining LD Bell High School, Mrs. Antinone taught at several schools across Texas and New York, including DeRuyter Central School in DeRuyter, NY, Wilkinson Middle School in Mesquite, TX, and Euless Junior High in Euless, TX. She is an accomplished guest conductor and clinician, frequently leading choral programs throughout the state. Mrs. Antinone has also served as the TMEA Region 31 Vocal Chair and is a member of several prestigious organizations, including NAFME, TMEA, TCDA, ACDA, TMAA, and Pi Kappa Lambda.
Outside of her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Antinone is a proud mother of three grown children and grandmother to three beautiful girls, enjoying life with her husband, Pat, and their dog, Scout. She remains deeply committed to shaping young musicians and fostering a love of choral music in her community.
